Care Guide - How to use Apple Garde Rain & Stain Repellent

Read this First

• Make sure you spray the entire bag, including the leather trim.
• Spray lightly and evenly. Do not overspray and soak the leather.
• The leather will look much darker when you first spray the bag however, the leather will lighten when the bag is completely dry.

Prep your bag

Clean your bag with Apple Leather Cleaner and follow up with Apple Leather Care Conditioner for best results.
Alternatively, wipe down your bag with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly with paper towels. You do not have to worry about getting the repellent on the non-leather materials like fabric, canvas and metal.

Prepare the area

Define a spraying area by laying out cloths/towels/mahjong paper on the floor. Make sure you apply the spray in a well ventilated area. This place should not be in direct sunlight as you will be leaving your bag overnight to dry after spraying.

How to spray - Express

• Hold the can AT LEAST 6 inches away and spray mist over bag in an up and down motion.
• Make sure you spray the entire bag, including the leather trim.
• Let the bag dry for about 20 minutes before wiping the remaining spray off the canvas.

Tip: You can give the bag a finishing coat by spraying a light mist over the handles/straps for another 10 seconds, holding the can 6 inches away from the bag. Let dry for 20 mins and wipe the canvas.

How to spray - Deluxe

• Hold the can AT LEAST 6 inches away and spray mist over bag in an up and down motion.
• Spray one side of the bag, including the leather trim thoroughly and leave to dry with the sprayed side facing up for 24 hours.
• Repeat the above process for the other side.

Tip: You can give the bag a finishing coat by spraying a light mist over the handles/straps for another 10 seconds, holding the can 6 inches away from the bag. Let dry for 20 mins and wipe the canvas.
